Earl Reed Wood passed away on December 23, 2014, in St. George, Utah. He was born on May 5, 1954, to Reed and Phyllis Wright Wood in Delta, Utah. He married Susan Labrum on July 20, 1979, in the St. George Temple.
Earl was an educator for 34 years. He loved to travel with his family and spoil his grandchildren.
Earl served an LDS mission in Germany and held many church callings. He especially enjoyed serving in the Bishopric.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Heidi (Mark) Jardine, Brian (Heidi) Wood, and Stacie (Spencer) Anderson; and his six granddaughters.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills LDS Chapel, 1222 E. Brigham Road, St. George, Utah.
- A viewing will be held Sunday, Dec. 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, and also Monday, Dec. 29, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the church.
- Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
