June 15, 1966-Feb. 19, 2022

On Feb. 19, 2022, we lost a huge piece of our heart, John David Edam.

Our beloved husband, father, son and brother brought joy, love and humor to everyone he met. John was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and grew up in Salt Lake City where he met and married the love of his life, Annamarie Oberle. They had two children, Sam and Alex, who meant everything to them.

He is survived by his wife Anna; daughter Samantha; mother Beverly Harness; siblings Jan Effertz (Neil); Bob Edam (Terry); Cathy Edam (Cid); Karen Packard (Paul) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Don and son Alexander John.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 12, at The Garden Place at Heritage Park, 2601 Sunnyside Ave., Salt Lake City, at 11 a.m. Family is invited to gather at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the Zion National Park Forever Project. JC, we love you.

Arrangements are under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, 435-673-2454.

Family and friends are invited to leave a comment on Spilsbury Mortuary’s Facebook page.
