Carolle Allison Bell PhD, LCSW, 73, passed away on August 10, 2016. She was born April 1, 1943, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Charles L. Allison and Pauline Allison (Diehl). Carolle married Frank H. Bell September 4, 1965, in Roswell, New Mexico.
Carolle was raised in Roswell, New Mexico with her older brother Charles. She attended boarding school at the Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas. Carolle earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas (1964); a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas (1968) in Austin, Texas; a PhD in Child Development from Utah State University in Logan, Utah (1986).
She derived great joy from her career, which focused on individual and family therapy. She was a pioneer in the field of equine therapy for at-risk youth.
Carolle and Frank moved to Ivins, Utah, in 2001, after raising their two sons in northern Utah. They were drawn to the desert by their shared appreciation of the scenery, art and culture of the southwest.
She is survived by Frank H. Bell of Ivins, Utah; Scott, Shannon and Asher Bell of Salt Lake City, Utah; Evan, Mandee, Rowan and Keir Bell of Austin, Texas; and her brother Charles R. Allison of St. George, Utah.
