Florice Mathews Jenkins passed away December 6, 2014, in St. George, Utah. She was born in Panaca, Nevada, on November 13, 1918, to Lafayette L. and Verl Ronnow Mathews. She married Chet Jenkins in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death.
Florice grew up in Panaca and graduated from high school. She moved to Salt Lake City where she worked for LDS Hospital in Administration. After her retirement she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and shared a home with her sister. They subsequently moved to Panaca.
Florice is survived by a brother, Stanton (Dawna) Mathews and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juliet (Bill) English, Marva (Dwight) Milner and LaReal Mathews; brothers, Calvin (Jackie) Mathews, Neil (Emma) Mathews and Joe (Myrna) Mathews.
Funeral Services
- Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. in the Panaca City Cemetery, Panaca, Nevada.
