Beverly Jean Cornwall died on Sept. 22, 2023, at age 99, in St. George, Utah, after a courageous battle with Father Time. She was born Jan. 11, 1924, in the City of Decatur, Illinois, to Georgina Jean and Raymond Owen White.
She married Joesph Haigh Cornwall, a soldier stationed at Camp Grant, Illinois, on May 26, 1944. At the end of World War II, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, settled down and had five children: Cathryn, Joseph, Charles (Sherry), James (Patty) and Georgina.
Additionally, she is survived by her sister Carol Ann Longhenry (John) and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After Joesph H. died, Beverly married C. Taylor Burton.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Georgina Jean and Raymond Owen White, daughter Cathryn, granddaughter Jacquelin Ringwood, Joseph H. Cornwall and C. Taylor Burton.
We would like to thank the loving care she received from the doctors, nurses, and staff of Advanced Home Health Care and Hospice and Southgate Senior Living Center.
Upon her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, would please her immensely.
Arrangements are under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff St., St. George, 435-673-2454. Family and friends are invited to sign Beverly’s online guest book.
