Barbara Ann Reber

Barbara Ann Reber, a devoted wife, mom, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly after struggling with her health on Feb. 24, 2023, at the age of 80.

She leaves behind her husband Lawrence Clark Reber, daughter Tuesdee Reber, son Rock Reber and sister Jewel B. Snow along with other cherished friends and relatives.

Barbara was born on Sept. 12, 1942, in St George, Utah, and grew up in Gunlock, Utah, where she enjoyed many friends and family. She attended school in St. George and then went on to graduate from Dixie College with an associate’s degree in 1962.

She met Clark in Las Vegas, and they were later married in Gunlock, Utah, on March 25, 1967. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on May 24, 1983.

Clark and Barbara have lived and raised their children in Santa Clara, Utah. She served the people in this community, and many became dear friends.

She and Clark owned and operated their trucking business Truc Distributing together for many years. She was the “Boss.”

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barbara served in a number of church callings throughout her life. Clark and Barbara were greeters in the Santa Clara 1st Ward for 17 years. She served in the Young Women’s Presidency. She also served with her friend Shirley and others Relief Society sisters, together they provided many wonderful funeral luncheons.

Barbara enjoyed working in their yard, mowing the grass to perfection and taking care of her beautiful flowers. Barbara’s favorite pastime was driving. She would get in the car and just drive and drive. Cherished memories were made when the family went on trips together. Lunch with the YaYas was a must for Barbara. She loved these crazy friends.

Barbara will be remembered as a wife and mother who loved, cherished and worried about her family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother LaPrele Sorenson Bowler; father Francis Leo Bowler; brother Conrad Sorenson Bowler; sister-in-law Corrine Esplin Bowler; brother-in-law Erle Hafen Snow; and many beloved friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Santa Clara 1st Ward Chapel, 3040 Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah, on Friday, March 3, at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 9-10:30 a.m. at the same location. 

Interment will be at the Santa Clara Cemetery following the service.
