Brian Wilford Erickson, age 80, passed away at home March 21, 2022. He was born Jan. 30, 1942, in Salt Lake City to Beryl Neilson and Wilford Byron Erickson. He married Suzan Bell on Aug. 20, 1983.
Brian was raised in Salt Lake City, graduated from South High and served in the Utah National Guard. He owned Mystic, a wholesale jewelry company. Later he managed casino transportation for Peppermill Properties in Wendover, Nevada.
Brian had a great love for family and friends and was valued by all for his generous hospitality and gourmet cooking. He enjoyed hunting, boating, motor biking, tennis, golf and traveling this beautiful country with Suzan and family.
Brian’s greatest love is his eternal companion Suzan. Brian loved his Savior and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by Suzan (Santa Clara); children Brad Erickson (Stacy), Scott Erickson, Brett Erickson, six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister Joan Motzkus (Robert), Robert Erickson, Pamela Hoglund (Ronald), Janeen Todd, Christine Layton (Clark) and Leif Erickson (Linda).
He is preceded in death by his son Brent Erickson, daughter Julie Neilson and brothers Wynn (Merri) and Wilford (Karleen).
Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 1 p.m. at the Santa Clara 10th Ward, 630 Riesling Ave. Visitation will run be 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Internment will be at Santa Clara City Cemetery, 1950 Ancestor Way.
