Sept. 26, 1950-Feb. 22, 2022

Michael Henry “Pete” Peterson, 71, passed away on Feb. 22, 2022, in Intermountain Medical Center in Murray as the result of a brain aneurysm he suffered earlier this year. Mike was born on Sept. 26, 1950, in Cedar City to Lerald and Mildred Johnson Peterson.

Michael was raised in Enterprise and graduated from Enterprise High School where he was active in basketball and baseball.

He loved hunting and golfing. He loved and participated in team roping at numerous rodeos. He owned his own business, “Pete’s Glass” and later worked for Jones Paint and Glass for 25-plus  years.

He married Kaye Hafen March 1, 1969, and they had four children. They later divorced.

Mike supported his kids and grandkids in every single aspect of their lives. He traveled great distances to be a part of their every activity.

He married Kathryn Wilkin Hahn May, 10, 2015, and blended their families together. Mike always wanted a “Wilki Saddle,” so marrying Kathy made perfect sense.

Brother Wayne (Pam) Peterson. Sisters Joyce (Bruce) Bissell, Liz (Jess) Holm, Michelle (Carl) Condie. Sister-in-Law Sandra Peterson. 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Brenda, Roger, Vivian, David and grandson Caide Roberts (#LiveLikeCaide).
