May 28, 1953 – Feb. 2, 1979

Miriam Condie Palma was born May 28, 1953, in St. George, Utah to Carl and Joyce Harrison Condie. She died Feb. 2, 2022, in the St. George Regional Hospital with her sister and sister-in-law holding her hands. She married Manuel Palma on Feb. 2, 1979.

She had a great childhood playing with her friends and later dragging St. George Boulevard and swimming in the Stardust Motel Pool. She always said she had the best family and friends.

She graduated from Dixie High School, Dixie College and BYU. Making more friends and enjoying life along the way.

Mim enjoyed playing the piano, writing poems, which she was good at, swimming, camping, family picnics and reunions. She was our party planner, always ready to be with family and friends. She enjoyed being with her Crookston cousins, Jim, Lynan, Doug, Judy, Ken and Janice, and brother Bill and his wife Lorraine, and sister Bea and her husband EJ. They would have lunch together at a restaurant and later when Covid came, we would meet at the park or Mims backyard. Turns out, we had a much better time there, than anywhere.

She and her husband lived in Salt Lake, Phoenix, Panaca and Las Vegas and back to St. George where she retired from the city of St. George. She made many friends there and liked her job.

Mim was a happy, friendly person with a positive attitude. The last six years of her life have been a challenge for her because of health reasons. Her faith has helped her through the hard times. She is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Condie and his wife, Lorraine; sister, Bea Foremaster and her husband, EJ; and nine nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Dianne, Barbara, Teresa, Cheryl, Debbie, Michelle, Kevin, Carl and Joe.

Mim is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, her nephew Joe, and her parents Carl and Joyce Condie.

The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, 11 a.m. at the Santa Clara City Cemetery, Ancestor Way, Santa Clara, Utah.

The family would like to thank her kind loving neighbors and friends who have given her so much love and support in her time of need. We would also like to thank her faithful nurse and friend, Maria for her kindness and wonderful care.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George, Utah, 435-673-2454. Family and friends are invited to sign Mim’s online guest book at www.spilsburymortuary.com.
